Advocacy and Information

LISTEN

Advocacy is helping a person or a group of people to stand up for their rights and get what they need – helping or supporting someone to make their own choices.

Being a Self-Advocate means knowing your rights and speaking for yourself to get what you need or want.

There are many resources available to assist you in learning the best way to advocate for others or yourself.  We have included some below.  At Community Connections Support Services, we are available to answer your questions and direct you to resources that may advocate on your behalf or help you advocate for yourself.  Contact us at 250-491-2907 or toll free at  1-888-491-2907.
