New Mental Health Supports…
Local news reports from Castanet.net in Kelowna announced six new Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams in BC to help BC residents with severe mental health challenges access community-based support.
One of the new mobile teams will be based in Kelowna delivering 24/7 flexible, individualized community living, psychosocial, and recovery supports for adults with serious, complex, and persistent mental health challenges that make it difficult to manage day-to-day activities.
We will continue to post new information as it becomes available.
Great News! New Book with Local Roots
Hey everyone, Della B. was inspired to write a kids picture book called Gus Gets Going by our friend Josh (her son) and his good experience with kindergarten — and, not only that, but her book was featured on CBC news! Way to go!

Special payments from government…
Hey everyone, this morning the Prime Minister announced special one-time, tax-free payment to people who receive the Disability Tax Credit as of June 1, 2020 — which could mean an extra $600 for those eligible. More information is available here on Castanet and we will post further details as they become available.
