Hello Everyone
Please find the attachment for the Southern Interior Regional Self Advocate and the Kootenay Community Council Conference October 20th and 21st. This year the conference is being hosted by the Self Advocates of the Rockies, in conjunction with Kootenay Community Council. Community Living British Columbia is sponsoring a limited number of tickets for Self Advocates and their support if necessary; within the Southern Interior Region. Each area will have a number of tickets assigned to them, they will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. The conference will be opened to other advocates, family, friends, care-givers and direct support at the full cost (great value) of the conference.
We are looking forward to meeting people from our region.
On behalf of the Self-Advocates of the Rockies
Jonathan Righton

As many will remember, this past year we had two of our Home Share Coordinators off on maternity leave as they welcomed new additions to their families.
We are very pleased to welcome Erica and Lindsay back to work from their maternity leaves this week. Welcome back, you two!
Along with Lindsay and Erica’s return to work, we are bidding a fond farewell to our two temporary team members. A huge thank you to Kristi and to Mike for their hard work over the past year. Thank you for everything, Kristi and Mike!
We are happy to have Mike continuing his work with Community Connections’ Home Share Program in the East Kootenays for the time being; and we all wish Kristi the very best in her new position with the Ktunaxa Nation Council.
