The purpose of this training is to build awareness and educate Home Share Providers, Family and Community Care Partners on Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia. After completing the training, participants should have a better understanding of the disease, its stages, how communication is affected and how to respond to behaviour. Both men and women can live with this disease in their 70’s, 60’s, 50’s and even 40’s. “People with dementia who can remain engaged and active are able to enjoy a good quality of life,” says CEO of the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
The workshop will be held on Friday, September 23rd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Landmark 4 Building in Kelowna.
There is limited seating, so please RSVP as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
