We would love to have you join us on July 18 (Creston) and July 19 (Cranbrook) to celebrate our Home Share Providers and the individuals we support.

For the past couple of years, a small group of people have been working on a number of initiatives to support people with disabilities in the Central Okanagan. This led to the development of CODC, the Central Okanagan Disability Coalition, which has just put out its first newsletter. This coalition brings together initiatives on accessibility, transportation and information. They believe that the more they share news, resources and good practices, the better life will be for people with disabilities in the Central Okanagan.

Everyone is welcome! There will be an outdoor BBQ and potluck picnic, fun games and prizes, live music and dancing, as well as a CCSS Information Booth set up.

Please see the attached event poster; all people providing and receiving support from CLBC in the area are invited to join in celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday with a BBQ, games, crafts courtesy of CoolArts, and great community party featuring a special appearance by Kelowna’s Mayor, Colin Basran.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair, get dressed in your festive Canada Day red and white gear, and come down to Mission Creek for a fun day outside in the sun.
