Great shot, Dave!
Community Connections is excited to share some great news – David Wells, who entered into CLBC’s “Favorite Things / Hobbies” Photo Contest this year, has won First Prize!
His photo of a gentleman DJ’ing at Kootenay Co-op Radio was chosen by a committee of self advocates, family members, service providers, and community members as the winning entry.
Congratulations Dave!

He’s doing it again! David Wells and his buddy Jay are doing what seems to be a regular thing: The David Wells Radio Show. For those that don’t know David, this is the perfect way to learn more about him, his beloved town of Nelson and listen to some music he’s picked out that he thinks you’ll appreciate.
The details are here (from Norm Richard – thanks Norm!):
We’ve just confirmed the winter break edition of The David Wells Show will be on Thursday Dec. 29 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Kootenay Co-op Radio with Jay. Have a happy and safe Solstice, Christmas and holidays!

Want to travel? Need some help with planning for the airport?
It turns out talking to your airport and your airline are great places to start!
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has partnered with several organizations to offer help, resources, and support to people who may need a bit of help to plan their travel:
To participate in the Autism Access Sticker program, you can talk with your airline when you check in. You can call the airport or go on their website to learn more about how they are supporting people to travel (https://www.yvr.ca/en/passengers/navigate-yvr/accessibility-at-yvr/accessibility-travel-planning)

There are new ways you can get connected with help to set up your RDSP and Disability Tax Credit!
Check out the info in this DABC bulletin:
Dear Community Partner,
Please see attached a community update about a new program at DABC to help people with the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and the RDSP. We’re working with Plan Institute and BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society to help people open an RDSP.
