Hey everyone, as we already posted, we had a federal election yesterday (Monday, September 20th).

Elections Canada wants voting to be as accessible as possible. Leading up to the election, Elections Canada offered resources, information, and help to vote leading up to general election day (September 20th).

Now you can tell them how accessible voting was for YOU!

Click here to be taken to their online feedback form and use the “Member of the Public” button to tell them about your voting experience. There’s more information about accessible polling stations and feedback here.

CLBC COVID-19 Update for self advocates and families…

Hey everyone, CLBC is hosting a teleconference update on Thursday next week (September 23) from 11:05 am-12 pm (PDT) with Dr. Daniele Behn Smith (Deputy Provincial Health Officer), Ross Chilton (CEO of CLBC), and Michael J. Prince (CLBC Board Chair).

You can email questions using subject line “SEPT 23 COVID CALL” until Tuesday at noon (September 21). Call in on Thursday to 1-877-353-9184 (participant code: 11453# ).

Voting by mail…

Hey everyone, as we already posted, there is a federal election coming up on Monday, September 20th.

If you want to vote by mail, you can check out the Elections Canada website Voting by Mail page for instructions and help to vote by mail – the sooner you can apply to vote by mail, the better! The cutoff is September 14th (next Tuesday).

Elections Canada suggests you consider voting by mail if you are part of a vulnerable population, or you know you will be away on voting day and prefer not to vote early.
